[강원대학교 불교문화탐방동아리] 2025년 07월 금강경 읽기 ▣ 일시: 2025년 07월 02일 (수) 18:00 ▣ 장소: 온라인(비대면, ZOOM) 이번 불교문화탐방동아리에서는 『금강경』을 직접 읽고 서로의 생각을 나누는 시간을 가졌습니다. 『금강경』은 대승불교의 대표적인 경전으로, 언어와 개념을 초월한 진리의 세계를 보여주는 깊은 가르침을 담고 있습니다. 처음 읽었을 때는 생소한 표현과 반복적인 문장 구조가 이해를 어렵게 했지만, 꾸준히 읽어가며 각자 나름의 방식으로 의미를 되새기게 되었습니다. 읽는 과정에서 가장 크게 느낀 점은, 『금강경』이 단순한 교리 설명이 아니라 삶의 태도와 사고방식을 근본적으로 되돌아보게 한다는 점이었습니다. 당연하게 여겨왔던 ‘나’라는 존재, 그리고 세상을 바라보는 관점들이 사실은 고정되지 않은 것일 수 있다는 생각은 큰 전환이었습니다. 단순히 불교를 공부하는 것을 넘어, 존재와 관계에 대해 보다 깊이 성찰하는 계기가 되었습니다. 특히 동아리 구성원들과의 토론은 경전 내용을 다양하게 해석하고, 서로 다른 시선에서 바라볼 수 있는 좋은 기회였습니다. 같은 문장을 읽고도 전혀 다른 해석이 나오는 과정은, 『금강경』의 말과 말 사이에 담긴 여백과 여운을 더 깊이 느끼게 해주었습니다. 정답을 찾기보다, 질문을 품고 생각을 이어가는 것이 더 중요하다는 점을 배웠습니다. 이번 『금강경』 읽기는 불교 경전이 결코 과거의 유산이나 형식적 텍스트에 머물지 않고, 오늘날의 삶과도 깊이 연결된 살아 있는 지혜임을 느끼게 해주었습니다. 앞으로도 이러한 고전 읽기 활동을 통해, 스스로의 삶을 돌아보고 타인과의 관계를 되새기는 성찰의 시간을 이어가고자 합니다.
