동양의 지혜와 덕성의 기원과 특징에 대해 살펴본다. 인간은 각기 자신만의 고유한 세계관, 인생관, 가치관을 갖고 살아간다. 그런데, 이러한 관점들은 의식적이든 무의식적이든 간에 어떤 형태로든 그가 속한 문화권의 전통과 가치의 영향을 받는다. 그리고 동양 문화권에서 이러한 전통과 가치의 실현은 '지혜'와 '덕성'의 형태로 나타난다. 그러므로 동양의 전통적인 지혜와 덕성을 탐색하는 것은 곧 우리의 문화와 삶의 연원을 이해하는 동시에 나아가 현대적인 우리의 세계관, 인생관, 그리고 가치관을 새로운 각도에서 점검하고 재구성할 수 있는 계기를 제공해준다. 이러한 맥락에서 본 강좌에서는 동양의 전통 사상 가운데, 유학과 도가의 지혜와 덕성에 관한 사상을 개괄하고, 그것이 현대에서 갖는 심층적의 가치와 의의를 살펴본다.

It examines the origin and characteristics of Oriental wisdom and virtue. Humans live with their own unique worldviews, lifeviews, and values. By the way, these views, whether consciously or unconsciously, are influenced by the traditions and values of his cultural sphere in some form. And the realization of these traditions and values in Eastern cultures comes in the form of "wee-hye" and "deok-seong." Thus, exploring the geomantic wisdom and virtues of the Orient provides an opportunity to understand our culture and the origin of life, and to further examine and reconstruct our modern world view, life view, and values from a new angle. In this context, this course outlines the ideas of Confucianism and Taoist wisdom and virtue among the traditional ideas of the Orient, and examines the in-depth values and significance it has in modern times.

청춘의 고민에 대한 청춘의 자기치유와 상호소통을 목표로 한다. 청춘과 철학의 치유적 만남을 실현하기 위하여 본 강좌는 교수에 의한 톡톡 튀는 철학과 철학상담에 관한 이론강의와 학생들 자신들에 의한 유쾌하고 진정성 있는 개인 활동을 제공한다. 이를 통해 21세기 청춘은 철학과 철학상담에 대한 지식과 더불어 자신의 고민을 스스로 해결하고 타인의 고민 해소를 도울 수 있는 고민상담 능력을 강화시킬 수 있을 것이다.

It aims to heal and communicate with youth about youth's worries. In order to realize the healing encounter between youth and philosophy, this course provides theoretical lectures on popping philosophy and philosophical counseling by professors and pleasant and sincere personal activities by students themselves. Through this, youth in the 21st century will be able to strengthen their counseling ability to solve their own concerns and help others solve their own problems, along with knowledge of philosophy and philosophical counseling.

종교와 문화는 동서양의 생사관을 소통하고 대화 하는 것에 있다. 21세기는 종교와 문화를 통한 웰빙의 시대는 달성했지만 준비해야 하는 웰다잉의 시대를 고찰할 필요성이 요청된다. 종교와 문화는 이론과 실천의 문제이기도 하다. 우리가 탐구하고 토론할 유교, 도교, 불교, 무속, 기독교, 가톨릭, 이슬람, 힌두교 등의 생사관을 고찰하고, 웰빙과 웰다잉의 보살핌의 문제를 제시하려고 한다. 종교와 문화시대에는 포스트 휴머니즘 및 제4차 산업혁명의 AI시대가 요청되며, 학생들에게 철학적으로 사유하는 훈련의 기회를 제공하고자 한다.

Religion and culture lie in communicating and talking about life and death views from the East and the West. The 21st century has achieved the era of well-being through religion and culture, but the need to consider the era of well-dying to be prepared is required. Religion and culture are also a matter of theory and practice. We will examine the life and death views of Confucianism, Taoism, Buddhism, shamanism, Christianity, Catholicism, Islam, and Hinduism that we will explore and discuss, and present the issues of well-being and well-dying care. In the era of religion and culture, the AI era of posthumanism and the 4th Industrial Revolution is required, and it aims to provide students with opportunities to think philosophically.

사랑과 죽음에 대해 철학적으로 사유하는 기회를 갖게 된다. 우리가 살면서 마주하게 되는 사랑과 죽음의 실제 문제들과 그 문제들을 앞서 생각해 본 철학자들의 사유를 연결시키는 것으로 이루어진다. 이 철학자들의 사유를 공부한다고 해서 우리가 궁금해 하는 문제들의 답을 직접 알게 되기는 어렵다. 그러나 이러한 공부를 통해 문제를 던지고 답하는 방식을 배우고 익혀 자신의 답을 찾을 수 있게 될 것이다. 철학을 전공하지 않는 학생들에게 철학적으로 사유하는 훈련의 기회를 제공하고자 한다. 중요한 것은 철학 지식을 습득하는 것이 아니라 중요한 삶의 문제를 철학적으로 사유하는 연습을 시작하는 것이다.

창의적이며 비판적인 사고는 숙련된 의사소통 및 의사결정을 통한 성공적 문제해결을 위해 반드시 필요한, 중요한 능력이자 덕목이다. 이는 또한 민주사회의 일원으로서, 전문직 진입을 꾀하는 학생으로서, 또는 일상적 삶을 살아가는 개인으로서, 반드시 갖추어야 할 자질이기도하다. 이런 중요한 능력이자 덕목인 비판적-창의적사고 (critico-creative thinking)를 향상시키는 것이 이 강의의 목적이다. 이를 위해 문제해결에 대한 기본적 이해와 창의적, 비판적, 배려적 사고로 구성된 고차적 사고를 배운다. 그리고 이에 바탕해서 단계별로 자신의 문제를 던지고 푸는 방법을 배우고 다양한 논증들(arguments)을 분석, 이해, 평가하는 기술을 습득한다.

Creative and critical thinking is an essential and important ability and virtue for successful problem solving through skilled communication and decision-making. This is also a must-have quality as a member of a democratic society, as a student seeking to enter a professional position, or as an individual living a daily life. The purpose of this lecture is to improve critical-creative thinking, which is an important ability and virtue. To this end, we learn a basic understanding of problem solving and higher-order thinking consisting of creative, critical, and considerate thinking. And based on this, they learn how to throw and solve their problems step by step and acquire skills to analyze, understand, and evaluate various arguments.

본 과목은 행복의 의미를 인문학적 차원에서 논의하여 수강생으로 하여금 자기 나름의 행복론을 만드는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 동서고금의 행복론을 소개하고 토론을 통해 그 의미와 문제점들을 분석한다. 철학, 문학, 역사의 관점에서 행복의 의미들을 되새기고 현재 자신의 입장에서 채택할 수 있는 바람직한 행복론을 수립하도록 한다.

「교육기본법」은 ‘민주시민으로서 필요한 자질’을 갖추기 위해 교육받을 권리가 있으며, 이를 통해 한국사회 더 나아가 인류의 공공 이익을 위해 기여해야 한다 고 규정하고 있다. 현대 민주적 시민성을 고양하고 촉진하기 위해 현대 시민교육에 적용 가능한 동양철학의 사상과 개념의 활용 방안을 모색할 필요성이 있다. 동양철학의 유교, 불교, 도교에서 정치공동체의 발전과 민주주의를 더욱 풍부하게 하는 데 기여할 수 있는 가치와 덕목을 발굴, 변용하여 현대 시민교육의 덕성을 고취하는 것이 핵심 목표이다. 첫째, 현대 시민교육에 필요한 동양철학적 사고능력과 덕성을 함양시키는 방법을 모색하는 것을 목적으로 창의적, 논리적 사고 발달의 중요성에 대해 인지하고 현대 시민교육 현장에서 요구하는 논리적 사고와 글쓰기에 대한 실제를 경험한다. 둘째, 동양철학의 주요 개념과 사상을 이해하고 이를 바탕으로 현대 시민사회의 문제를 고찰한다. 셋째, 시민으로서의 인성과 덕성 함양을 목표로, 학생들이 스스로의 삶과 사회적 책임을 성찰하도록 한다.

The Framework Act on Education stipulates that you have the right to receive education in order to acquire the 'quality necessary as a democratic citizen', through which you must contribute to the public interest of Korean society and humanity. In order to promote and promote modern democratic citizenship, it is necessary to find ways to utilize the ideas and concepts of Eastern philosophy applicable to modern citizenship education. The core goal is to promote the virtue of modern citizenship education by discovering and transforming values and virtues that can contribute to the development and democracy of the political community in Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism of Eastern philosophy. First, with the aim of finding a way to cultivate Eastern philosophical thinking skills and virtues necessary for modern citizenship education, we are aware of the importance of the development of creative and logical thinking and experience the reality of logical thinking and writing required in the field of modern citizenship education. Second, understand the main concepts and ideas of Eastern philosophy and examine the problems of modern civil society based on them. Third, with the aim of cultivating character and virtue as citizens, students are encouraged to reflect on their own life and social responsibilities.

To this end, we examine and practice the content and characteristics of deductive thinking and inductive thinking, and various errors. 삼국시대 불교의 수용과 한국의 일본불교 전파과정 이후 지금까지 한국과 중국, 일본에는 사찰을 비롯해 불상, 석탑, 범종 등과 같이 예술적으로 본존의 가치가 높은 불교문화의 발전이 이루어졌다. 이 점에서 불교문화에 대한 이해를 불교예술을 통해 진행하는 것은 미래사회에 새로운 가치를 창출할 새로운 콘텐츠를 발굴하고, 개발하는 과정이 되는 동시에 우리의 의식세계에 기능하고 있는 불교적 세계의 소통정신을 구체적인 삶의 공간 속에서 새롭게 탐구하는 학습 과정이 된다. 그러므로 본 강좌는 한국, 중국, 일본 삼국의 불교미술 비교를 통해 인간 삶의 본질에 대한 이해를 넓히고, 현대사회에 새롭게 기능할 불교예술의 창의적 활용 능력을 배양하는 창조적 도전 정신을 함양한다.

Since the acceptance of Buddhism in the Three Kingdoms Period and the spread of Japanese Buddhism in Korea, China, and Japan have developed Buddhist culture with high artistic value, such as Buddhist statues, stone pagodas, and Buddhist bells. In this regard, understanding Buddhist culture through Buddhist art becomes a process of discovering and developing new content that will create new value in the future society, while at the same time exploring the communication spirit of the Buddhist world functioning in our conscious world anew in a specific space of life. Therefore, this course expands the understanding of the nature of human life through the comparison of Buddhist art between the three countries of Korea, China, and Japan, and fosters a creative spirit of challenge that fosters the creative use of Buddhist art that will function newly in modern society.

학교 지역 외에 주 거주지가 있는 재학생은 수업 듣는 것 외에 지역과 연계 접근성이 적다 보니 학교 주변의 특성을 파악하는 것은 현실적으로 제한적이다. 만일 이런 재학생에게 교과목을 통해 다양한 전공자들과 함께 팀프로젝트 등으로 지역의 문화를 이해하는 시간을 가진다면 접근성이 확장되며, 지역의 한계점과 매력을 동시에 알 수 있는 시간을 가질 수 있다. 그 과정에서 팀별로 지역의 한계점을 개선하기 위한 목표를 설정하여 문화융합 측면을 반영하고, 팀 수행 과정을 통해 지역을 조사하고 취재하고 기록하면서 자연스럽게 지역의 특성을 이해하는 시간이 될 수 있다. 팀웍에 따라 목표와 과정이 흔들릴 수 있지만 경험을 통해 배워가는 시간이 교과목을 통해 필요하며, 지역을 이해하면서 다른 전공자들과 다른 생각을 가진 팀원과의 소통을 어떻게 해야 갈등 요소를 줄이고 동일한 목표를 향해 갈 수 있는지 협동 등을 최종 영상물 완성 과정을 통해 경험할 수 있다. 융합형 로컬프로젝트의 기초과정을 다양한 전공자들과 함께 교양 교과목 내에서 협업 등으로 경험하면서 팀원 의지와 팀웍에 따라 수업이 끝나도 지속가능한 소모임이 형성될 수 있으며, 이후 특정지역을 벗어나 다양한 지역 활동가로서 로컬콘텐츠 크리에이터 또는 로컬컬쳐 크리에이터, 그리고 융합연계 창업가 등으로 활동할 수 있는 단초가 될 수 있다.

If these students have time to understand the culture of the region through team projects with various majors through the course, accessibility will be expanded and they will have time to understand the limitations and attractiveness of the region at the same time. In the process, each team can set goals to improve the limitations of the region to reflect the aspect of cultural convergence, and it can be a time to naturally understand the characteristics of the region by investigating, covering, and recording the region through the team performance process. Although goals and processes can be shaken by team work, time to learn through experience is required through the subject, and while understanding the region, they can experience cooperation through the final video completion process on how to reduce conflict factors and move toward the same goal with other majors and different-minded team members. By experiencing the basic courses of convergence local projects through collaboration within liberal arts subjects with various majors, sustainable consumption can be formed even after the class is over according to the will of the team members and the teamwork, and it can be the starting point for them to leave a specific area and act as local content creators, local culture creators, and convergence-linked entrepreneurs.

선진시기 중국 철학사를 이해하는 것을 목표로 삼는다. 특히 ‘중국 철학사1’에서는 중국철학의 탄생에 결정적으로 기여하였던 춘추전국 시대 주요 학파의 철학 사상에 대해 체계적으로 고찰할 것이다. 이를 위해서 중국의 선진 시대의 주요 사상이었던 유가, 도가, 법가, 명가, 음양가의 이론을 소개할 것이다. 그리고 이 과정에서 그들의 사상이 갖는 당대의 의미뿐만 아니라 나아가 그것이 우리의 삶에서 시사해주는 현대적 가치와 의의를 수강생들과 함께 토론할 것이다.

This course aims to understand Chinese philosophy in the Pre-Qin Dynasty. In particular, in 'Chinese Philosophy 1', we will systematically examine the philosophical thoughts of the major schools of the Pre-Qin Dynasty Era that contributed decisively to the birth of Chinese philosophy. To this end, this semester, I will introduce the theories of Rujia, Taojia, Fajia, Mingjia, and YinYangjia, which were the main ideas of in the Pre-Qin Dynasty. And in this process, we will discuss not only the meaning of their thoughts at the time, but also the modern values and significance that it suggests in our lives.

서양철학을 학습하는 데 있어 가장 기초가 되는 입문과정으로, 서양철학의 기본적 개념과 흐름을 탈레스부터 중세말까지 일별하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 생소한 개념들과 사상가들의 이름에 익숙해지고, 서양사상의 전체적 흐름을 파악하는데 중점을 둔다.

This course as an introduction to western philosophy will give students general understanding of history of western philosophy from Thales to Medieval philosophy. Students are supposed to be accustomed to philosophical concepts and names of philosophers and to grasp the streams of various schools.

‘인도철학(哲學)’이란 용어는 즉, 개인들의 세계관, 인생관, 가치관이 여기에 모두 포함된다. 그래서 철학은 세계와 인간 그리고 사물과 현상의 가치와 궁극적 의미를 본질적이고 총체적으로 파고 들어가 깨닫는 것을 의미한다. 이런 의미로서의 철학은 어느 문화권에나 오래전부터 존재하여 왔다. 심지어는 문자가 없는 사회에서도 세계에 대한 깊은 지혜는 발견된다. 따라서, 서양철학에만 국한하지 않고 동양에서 진행된 철학적 논의들에도 주목하면서 철학의 본질적 의미와 그것이 우리의 삶에 어떠한 의미를 주는지에 대한 논의를 살펴볼 것이다. 결국 [철학의 이해]는 개인의 비판적 사고가 요구되는 시대의 길목에서 인간과 사회에서 발생하는 다양한 문제에 대한 이해를 통하여, 학생들의 논리적 분석력,비판적 사고력, 종합적 판단력을 기르는데 그 목적을 것이다. 이것이 어느 정도 충족된다면, 학생들은 현실 문제들에 대한 폭넓은 이해와 많은 관심 속에서 자신들의 문제의식을 기르고 자신의 삶의 지평을 충분히 넓힐 수 있을 것이다. 따라서 이 강의는 학생들이 지성을 가진 대학인으로서의 균형 감각과 현실에 대한 비판의식을 쌓는데 좋은 길잡이가 될 수 있을 것이다.

The term "Indian Philosophy" includes individuals' worldviews, lifeviews and values. So philosophy means to delve into and realize the value and ultimate meaning of the world and human beings and things and phenomena in essence and in aggregate. Philosophy in this sense has long existed in any culture. Even in a society without letters, deep wisdom about the world is found. Therefore, we will look at the essential meaning of philosophy and what it means to our lives, not just to Western philosophy but also to take note of the philosophical discussions conducted in the East. In the end, [understanding philosophy] aims to develop students' logical analysis, critical thinking, and comprehensive judgment through understanding of various problems occurring in humans and society in the age when critical thinking of individuals is required. If this is met to some extent, students will be able to cultivate their problem-consciousness and broaden their life horizons sufficiently amid a broad understanding of real-life issues and much attention. Therefore, the lecture could serve as a good guide for students to build a sense of balance and a critical sense of reality as intellectuals.

This course outlines the development process and characteristics of Chinese philosophy developed after China's Hundred Schools of Thought. After that time, Chinese philosophy developed into Neo-Confucianism, Taoism, and Buddhism throughout Han(漢), Yujin(魏晉), Song(宋), Ming(明), Qing(淸) dynasty, and modern times. Therefore, a general overview of the main philosophical thoughts and characteristics of this period provides you an opportunity to understand the total trends and meanings of Eastern philosophy, and also provides a foundation for learning and deepening philosophy's major knowledge more systematically.

Understand the Taoist philosophy in the Pre-Qin Dynasty, focusing on the text of Laozi and Zhuangzi chapter, and further grasp the original philosophical problems of the Taoist Philosophy. We approach the thought of Hwanglaoxue and Xuanxue. In addition, through the comparison of Taoist and Buddhist philosophy, Chongxuanxue is summarized.
